5 from 14 reviews

Peach Pie Cruffins combine the flaky, buttery texture of croissants with the sweet, fruity flavors of peach pie. These delightful pastries are easy to make using refrigerated crescent dough, filled with a peach and cinnamon mixture, twisted into spirals, baked to golden perfection, and finished with a light powdered sugar glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 3 cans refrigerated crescent dough (8 ounces each)

Filling

  • 1 cup peach preserves (organic if possible)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Glaze

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your muffin tin by placing liners into each muffin cup to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a small bowl, mix together the peach preserves and ground cinnamon until well combined, creating a flavorful peach-cinnamon filling.
  3. Roll Out Dough: Unroll the refrigerated crescent dough and press the seams together to form larger rectangles, ensuring there are no gaps for the filling to leak through.
  4. Add Filling: Spread the peach and cinnamon mixture evenly over each dough rectangle, covering the surface but leaving a small border at the edges for sealing.
  5. Shape Dough: Carefully roll each dough rectangle into a log from one end to the other. Once rolled, slice each log in half lengthwise, then twist each half into a spiral shape to create the cruffin layers.
  6. Bake: Place each twisted dough piece into the prepared muffin tin liners. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the cruffins are golden brown and fully cooked through.
  7. Prepare Glaze: While the cruffins are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and heavy whipping cream until smooth to make a sweet glaze.
  8. Glaze and Serve: Remove the cruffins from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cruffins before serving for added sweetness and shine.

Notes

  • Make sure to completely seal the dough seams to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.
  • If peach preserves are too thick, warm slightly so they spread more easily.
  • Use muffin liners to help with easy removal and clean-up.
  • For a dairy-free glaze, substitute heavy cream with almond milk or coconut milk.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
