  • 1 ½ cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 large apple, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined and smooth.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, ensuring all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  4. Fold in Apples and Nuts: Gently fold in the diced apples and chopped nuts if using, distributing them evenly throughout the mixture.
  5. Pour & Spread: Transfer the oat mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly for uniform baking.
  6. Bake: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, until the top becomes golden brown and the center is set and firm to the touch.
  7. Cool & Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm, or refrigerate and reheat for a quick and satisfying breakfast.
