  • 1 cup brown rice

Proteins

  • 3 lbs protein mix (fish, beef, pork, chicken, and/or turkey)
  • 2 each eggs

Fruits and Vegetables

  • 1 large sweet potato or butternut squash (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 cup frozen vegetable mix (carrots, peas, green beans)
  • 1 can kidney beans (drained)

Others

  • 1 each coconut oil (for greasing crock pot) or crock pot liner

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crock Pot: Line the crock pot with a crock pot liner or grease the inside with coconut oil to prevent sticking during cooking.
  2. Prepare the Fruits: Cut the apple into small chunks, ensuring all seeds are removed as they are toxic to dogs.
  3. Prepare the Vegetables: Peel and cut the sweet potato or butternut squash into small chunks suitable for cooking and digesting.
  4. Prepare the Protein Mixture: In a bowl, combine a variety of proteins such as ground beef, ground turkey, pork chunks, fish fillets, turkey thighs, breasts, and livers. Make sure there are no bones in the mixture.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Add the protein mixture, chopped apples, eggs, sweet potatoes or butternut squash, brown rice, water, frozen vegetables, and drained kidney beans into the crock pot.
  6. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until all ingredients are tender and fully cooked.
  7. Cool and Store: Allow the food to cool completely before serving it to your dog. Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
