Delicious and easy-to-make Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll Ups featuring flaky crescent dough wrapped around savory deli ham and Swiss cheese, glazed with a flavorful honey mustard butter, baked until golden and perfect for a quick snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Roll Ups

  • 1 8-ounce can Crescent rolls
  • 8 slices Deli ham
  • 8 slices Deli Swiss cheese

Glaze

  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and set it aside.
  2. Prepare Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent rolls onto a clean, flat surface, separating them into individual triangles.
  3. Add Ham: Place one slice of deli ham on the wider end of each crescent dough triangle. Fold the edges of the dough over the ham slightly to help seal it.
  4. Add Cheese: Cut each slice of Swiss cheese in half and place one half on top of each ham slice, ensuring even distribution.
  5. Roll Up: Starting at the wide end, roll each crescent tightly around the ham and cheese filling. Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet with some space between them.
  6. Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder until fully combined and smooth.
  7. Glaze the Rolls: Generously brush the honey mustard butter glaze over the tops of each crescent roll, using all of the mixture to ensure good coverage and flavor.
  8. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are puffed up and golden brown.
  9. Cool: Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes to set the filling and make them easier to handle.
  10. Serve: Serve warm as a tasty snack, appetizer, or light meal.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can brush a little additional melted butter on the rolls before baking.
  • To add more flavor, sprinkle some poppy seeds or sesame seeds on top after glazing.
  • Substitute Swiss cheese with cheddar or your favorite melting cheese for variety.
  • Make sure rolls are not touching on the baking sheet to ensure even baking and browning.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven to maintain crispness.
