  • 1 cup shredded white Cheddar cheese

  • 1 package (17.3 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets, thawed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the oven and green bean mixture: Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a large bowl, combine the cooked green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, 1 cup of shredded cheese, and 2/3 cup of French fried onions. Stir everything evenly to make the filling.
  2. Prepare the puff pastry cups: Lightly grease two 24-cup mini muffin pans (about 1 3/4-inch cups). On a lightly floured surface, unfold one thawed puff pastry sheet and roll it into a 10×12-inch rectangle. Cut the pastry lengthwise into six 2-inch strips, then crosswise into four 2 1/2-inch strips, yielding 24 rectangles. Press each rectangle firmly into the mini muffin cups to form little pastry shells. Repeat with the second sheet to make 48 cups total.
  3. Fill and bake the bites: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the green bean mixture into each puff pastry cup. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, until the pastry starts to puff and the filling is hot.
  4. Prepare the topping and finish baking: While the bites bake, mix the remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese and 2/3 cup French fried onions in a small bowl. Remove the muffin pans from the oven and evenly sprinkle the topping mixture over each bite. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and the topping is melted and crispy.
