Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400˚F (204˚C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for toasting the bread.
  2. Make the garlic butter: In a bowl, combine the softened butter with finely chopped fresh parsley, dried basil, dried thyme, kosher salt, pressed garlic or garlic paste, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated. Set this flavorful garlic butter aside.
  3. Prepare the bread: Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise. Evenly spread the prepared garlic butter over each cut side of the bread to ensure every bite is infused with garlic flavor.
  4. Toast the bread: Place the buttered bread halves cut side up on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5-8 minutes. Toast until the tops are golden brown and edges slightly crispy, which will give a perfect crunchy base.
