  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Crush the digestive or graham crackers into tiny crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. Combine crumbs and butter: Melt 100 g of butter and mix it thoroughly with the cracker crumbs until evenly coated.
  3. Form the crust: Press the crumb and butter mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a pie or tart pan, creating an even crust layer.
  4. Chill the crust: Place the assembled crust in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to firm up and set.
  5. Chop the chocolate: While the crust chills, chop 400 g of chocolate into small pieces to ensure even melting.
  6. Heat the cream: Gently heat 400 ml of heavy or whipping cream until just about to boil, then immediately remove from heat.
  7. Make the filling: Add the chopped chocolate to the hot cream and stir continuously until the chocolate fully melts and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  8. Add butter and salt: Stir in 2 tablespoons of butter and a pinch of salt until fully combined to enhance flavor and texture.
  9. Fill the crust: Pour the creamy chocolate filling into the chilled pie crust and spread evenly.
  10. Set the pie: Let the pie cool briefly at room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator for several hours (at least 3-4 hours) to allow the filling to set completely.
