These Big Mac Snack Wraps are a fun and easy dinner idea inspired by the classic McDonald’s Big Mac. They feature flavorful seasoned ground beef, a special tangy sauce, fresh lettuce, cheddar cheese, and pickles wrapped in warm flour tortillas for a delicious handheld meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Special Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

For the Wraps

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Dill pickle slices (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, finely chopped dill pickles, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until smooth. Cover and refrigerate to develop flavors.
  2. Sauté Onions: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they become soft and translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Cook Ground Beef: Add the lean ground beef to the skillet with the onions. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked through, about 7-9 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  4. Warm Tortillas: Gently warm the flour tortillas either in a dry skillet over low heat or wrapped in a damp cloth in the microwave until they are pliable and easy to roll.
  5. Assemble Wraps: Spread a generous amount of the prepared special sauce evenly over each tortilla. Layer with cooked ground beef, chopped lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, and dill pickle slices if using.
  6. Roll the Wraps: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and then roll tightly to enclose the fillings. Cut each wrap in half if desired and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce excess fat and grease.
  • The special sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Optionally, substitute cheddar cheese with American cheese for a closer Big Mac flavor.
  • To make this recipe gluten-free, use gluten-free tortillas.
  • For added crunch, include shredded iceberg lettuce instead of leafy varieties.
